Why AssessGrid?
The main objective of the E.C.-funded AssessGrid project is to address obstacles of a wide adoption of Grid computing by bringing risk management and assessment to this field, enabling use of Grid technologies in business and society.
In this scope, AssessGrid delivers generic, customisable, trustworthy, and interoperable open-source software for risk assessment, risk management, and decision-support in Grids.

Demonstration of AssessGrid prototype at Open Grid Forum (OGF) 25
AssessGrid participated to OGF25, in Catania, Italy. The project also demonstrated its final results at a dedicated booth.
AssessGrid Final result available for download
All software outcomes of the project are available for download. In order to help evaluation of AssessGrid software a virtual machine with AssessGrid software ready to run has also been packaged.
Final review of the project
The project passed its final review on 12th of February at ATOS location in Barcelona. AssessGrid successfully presented its result and is preparing them for delivery on the web site.
Second Special Interest Group (SIG) meeting
The meeting took place on 3rd of February 2009 in Berlin. Details on the meeting can be found on the SIG page.
AssessGrid prototype in action at ICT2008 (25-27 november, Lyon, France)
The AssessGrid project has been selected, along with GridTrust, to participate to ICT2008. During the event, the new project prototype was demonstrated.
Second AssessGrid prototype available
You can now download the prototype that was demonstrated during the summer and in September. Following a description of newly added features, including web portal functionalities such as workflow submission, a download section allows you to retrieve the source code of the prototype.
AssessGrid participates to Gridipedia
The project contributes to the European repository of Grid and Cloud Computing resources by offering its Negotiation Manager component.
AssessGrid outcomes at "Internet of Services 2008" (22nd-23th September 2008)
AssessGrid participated to the collaboration meeting for FP6 & FP7 projects, taking place in Brussels. The project also demonstrated its latest results: don't hesitate to ask for informations. A description of the demonstrations is available on-line.
AssessGrid in action at UK e-Science all Hands Meeting
Software results of the project were demonstrated during the e-Science 2008 All Hands Meeting which took place in Edinburgh, from 08th to 11th of September.

A new member for AssessGrid consortium : TüV Rheinland (July 2008)
TÜV Rheinland is the world’s second largest testing organisation with a broad scope of applications and customers. Risk assessment and management are daily tasks, so TÜV Rheinland can help the consortium in two major points streghtening the business perspective of risk assessment and development of additional models for risk management.
WorkShop at 23rd Open Grid Forum (OGF), June 2008
AssessGrid joint proposal of a workshop with CoreGrid and SORMA projects on "Dynamic Grid Service Level Agreements" has been accepted by the organization committee. It was held on Monday, June 2 during 23rd OGF which took place from 2nd to 6th of June 2008 in Barcelona, SPAIN.

Second AssessGrid Review Meeting
The review successfully took place at TUB, Berlin on 20th of May.

The project is referenced by the European Community for Software and Software Services.
Source Code for the Community
Implementation of the Negotiation Manager is available online.
First Software Outcome Available
The Risk-Aware End-user Client can be downloaded for testing. The release is packaged as a VMware image for execution in a virtual server to ease tests.
